Feeding the Community, Body and Soul

Welcome to the "Cannonball Church!"

The Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church has adopted and continues to live into the slogan: "Feeding the Community, Body and Soul."  Jesus' ministry was characterized by focus on both the physical and spiritual well-being of those with whom he came into contact, and we strive to reflect that focus.  GCPC has a theologically diverse congregation with members and regular visitors from a variety of faith backgrounds, so we hope you will find yourself at home among the people here.
What should I wear on Sunday?
There is no requirement for proper attire in our church, but we understand you might want to know how others dress.  On an average Sunday, you will find people dressed in suits sitting next to people dressed in slacks and a golf shirt.
Where should I park?
You will find reserved spaces for visitors in the parking lot accessed by Church St.  After parking, enter through the covered entrance and follow the signs to the Sanctuary.
Will I be pointed out in the service?
No!  We will not ask you to stand, raise your hand or do anything else to draw attention to you when you are visiting.  You will have the option to give us your contact information in the attendance register at the end of your pew if you choose.
Why do people call this the "Cannonball Church?"
As you pass in front of the church on Main St., look above the front door on the right side and you will see a reminder of how close the Civil War came to Greeneville--a cannonball embedded in the brick wall!
